A nightly supplementary feed that labels every product with the margin band it is projected to earn.
Overview
Bidding on profit fixes what you are willing to pay for a click. It does not tell Shopping which products deserve the budget in the first place. A supplementary feed writes a margin-band label onto one custom label slot, and campaigns can then be built around it — the healthy products pushed, the thin ones capped, without anyone maintaining a list by hand.
How it works
Merchant Center fetches one URL on a schedule. It carries two columns: the product id and a bucket name. Nothing else — no margins, no percentages, no confidence scores. Per-SKU margin is the most sensitive data we hold, and a URL a feed agency can read is not where it belongs, so the numbers stay in the app. Every SKU is relabelled every night, and a product without a projection gets an explicit default label rather than keeping a stale one forever.
How to configure
Pick a custom label slot that nothing else is using. A supplementary feed overwrites its declared slot on every product it matches, so check this first.
In Merchant Center, go to Feeds → Supplementary feed → Scheduled fetch.
Paste the feed URL from your Profitscaler settings and set it to fetch daily.
Segment your Shopping or Performance Max campaigns on that label.
